Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sirat mobile application ("App," "Service," or "we"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Sirat regarding your use of the App and its services.

By continuing to use Sirat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

Sirat is an all-in-one Islamic lifestyle application designed to assist Muslims in their daily religious practices. The App provides the following features:

  • Prayer Times — Accurate prayer time calculations based on your location
  • Qibla Direction — Compass pointing towards the Kaaba in Makkah
  • Quran — Complete Quran with Arabic text, translations, transliterations, and audio recitations
  • Tasbeeh Counter — Digital prayer beads for dhikr
  • Ramadan Tracker — Fasting logs and spiritual goal tracking
  • Hijri Calendar — Islamic calendar with important dates
  • Dua Library — Collection of supplications
  • Hadith Collections — Sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
  • 99 Names of Allah — Asma ul Husna with meanings
  • Mosque & Halal Finder — Locate nearby mosques and halal restaurants
  • Zakat Calculator — Calculate your obligatory charity

Features may be added, modified, or removed at our discretion. Some features may require a premium subscription or one-time purchase to access.

Eligibility

Sirat is available to users of all ages. However, if you are under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the App.

By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms or have obtained appropriate parental/guardian consent.

User Conduct

When using Sirat, you agree to:

  • Use the App only for its intended purpose as an Islamic lifestyle and educational tool
  • Respect the sacred nature of the Quranic content and Islamic materials provided
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  • Not use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
  • Not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the App or its content without permission

Violation of these conduct guidelines may result in termination of your access to the App.

Intellectual Property

App Content

The App, including its design, graphics, user interface, code, and non-Quranic content, is owned by Sirat and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Quranic Content

The Holy Quran is the word of Allah and belongs to all of humanity. We do not claim ownership over Quranic text. Translations and transliterations are provided from established scholarly sources for educational purposes.

Audio Recitations

Quran audio recitations are provided through licensed sources. You may listen to recitations within the App for personal, non-commercial use only.

User Data

You retain ownership of your personal data, including prayer logs, bookmarks, and notes. By using the App, you grant us permission to store this data locally on your device to provide the Service.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Premium Features

Sirat offers optional premium features available through:

  • Yearly Subscription — Access to all premium features and tasbeeh beads, plus ad-free experience
  • Ad Removal Subscription — Remove advertisements from the App
  • One-Time Purchases — Individual tasbeeh bead designs

Payment Processing

All purchases are processed through the respective app store:

  • Google Play Store for Android devices
  • Apple App Store for iOS devices

By making a purchase, you agree to the payment terms of the applicable app store.

Subscription Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the respective app store according to their refund policies. We do not directly process refunds. Please contact Google Play or Apple App Store support for refund inquiries.

Disclaimers

Religious Guidance

Sirat is designed as a helpful tool to assist with Islamic practices. The App is not a substitute for qualified religious scholarship or guidance from knowledgeable scholars. For matters of religious jurisprudence (fiqh), please consult qualified Islamic scholars.

Prayer Time Accuracy

Prayer times are calculated using established astronomical methods. However, accuracy depends on your device's location services and the calculation method selected. We recommend verifying prayer times with your local mosque, especially for Fajr and Isha prayers in regions with extreme latitudes.

Qibla Direction

Qibla direction relies on your device's compass sensor. Accuracy may vary based on device calibration, magnetic interference, and environmental factors. For precise Qibla direction, consider verifying with alternative methods.

Service Availability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Some features require an internet connection and may be affected by network conditions.

While we strive for accuracy in all Islamic content, we encourage users to verify important religious matters with qualified scholars.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Sirat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
  • We are not responsible for any actions taken based on prayer times, Qibla direction, or other information provided by the App
  • Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months
  • We are not liable for any loss of data stored on your device

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the App, other users, or third parties.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App will immediately cease
  • All data stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the App
  • Active subscriptions should be cancelled through your app store to prevent future charges

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • For significant changes, we may notify you through the App or via other means
  • Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels in the jurisdiction where you reside.
